What exactly is Smith Reads?
Smith Reads is a reading that is first-year for several pupils a new comer to Smith university. This consists of first-year students, Ada Comstock Scholars and transfer students. This program is made from three crucial elements:
- Reading the assigned text before your arrival at Smith
- Attending the visitor writer’s speaking engagement
- Taking part in the discussion that is in-house of reading

Climate change—one of the very most complex and urgent issues of y our time—is disproportionally harming and impacting ladies and individuals of color all over the world. Within the 2019–20 educational year Smith embarks on a yearlong study of weather change. Through integrative curricular and co-curricular stations, we shall engage the campus with this topic that is complex each of its perspectives, planning us to know better the difficulties of weather modification. The goal of the themed 12 months is always to achieve and equip all students—no matter their backgrounds, activities and interests—for learning and action.
